Pushpa JOSEPH is a lecturer in the Department of Christian Studies at the University of Madras, India.

“Participants in this leadership program were highly appreciative both of the content and the possibilities for interaction among others in the field of higher education.  I find that I instill Christian and ethical values in my teaching in a more intense way after my experience with the United Board.  As I guide scholars in the research and writing of academic papers and dissertations, I encourage an ethical focus and social commitment.

“Since I participated in IASACT, I have formulated the syllabus for a new course – PG Diploma in Ethics and Biotechnology  –  and am in charge of its smooth running.  My publications have increased after my involvement with IASACT.  My latest book is a co-edited volume on Reimagining Family and Marriage in Asia: Asian Christian Women’s Perspectives.  In addition, I have published one book on religions in India and edited another one on the Old Testament, both of which are used as textbooks for the degree program in Christian Studies of Madras University.”
