Dr. Anri Morimoto assumed the presidency of Tokyo Woman’s Christian University in April 2022.  He previously served as a professor in the Humanities Department of International Christian University (ICU) for thirty years and as vice president for eight years.  He also served as a visiting professor at Princeton Theological Seminary and at the Graduate Theological Union.

After graduating from ICU, Dr. Morimoto studied at Tokyo Union Theological Seminary and was ordained to ministry in the United Church of Christ in Japan. He later received a PhD in systematic theology from Princeton Theological Seminary.
