Dr. Amy Lee of Hong Kong Baptist University

Dr. Amy Lee, a United Board Fellow, has been named the Anne E. Ofstedal Fellow for the Class of 2016-2017.This designation commemorates Anne Ofstedal, who served the United Board for 17 years and whose warm, collegial nature and attention to detail helped create memorable fellowship experiences for dozens of United Board Fellows.

Dr. Lee is a faculty member at Hong Kong Baptist University, where she serves as an associate professor in the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing and as founding program director for cultural and liberal and cultural studies. She hopes the United Board Fellows Program will help her explore ways to play a more substantial role in university administration through enhancing communication among her university’s academic, administrative, and support units. In her words, “Good leadership in higher education includes sensitivity, understanding, trust, and decisiveness.”

We are grateful for the support Anne Ofstedal’s family and friends have provided to the United Board Fellows Program, and we extend our best wishes to Dr. Lee for her fellowship experience.
