Many Gen Z students may feel more comfortable in virtual worlds than day-to-day life, and this can have consequences for their mental health. Students may feel anxiety and depression or experience a lack of satisfaction with themselves or the situation around them. This two-part program is designed to equip college faculty with the knowledge and skills of counselling techniques in order to extend a helping hand to students.
The program is open to young, committed faculty of arts and sciences colleges and educational colleges. The training is conducted in two phases, and participants must attend both phases.
The deadline for applications is August 30, 2018.
