The 2016-2017 Class of United Board Fellows at their first program activity, the summer leadership institute at Boston College.
The United Board is pleased to announce that 19 young leaders in higher education have been selected for the 2016-2017 United Board Fellows Program. The Fellows represent nine countries and regions of Asia and bring a wide range of academic disciplines and administrative experience to the program.
Now in its fourteenth year, the United Board Fellows Program is implementing a new program structure, one that will enable participants to better explore the dynamics of higher education leadership and management. Fellows participate in a three-week intensive summer institute in the United States at Boston College, a two- to four-month placement at an Asian higher education institution, and a one-week leadership seminar in Asia. Over the course of the program, and with online guidance and mentorship, they develop a case study of ways to address a particular challenge at their home institution.
