The United Board Visiting Lecturers Program (VLP) is a unique teacher mobility program that responds to expressed needs of United Board network institutions. It enables experienced teachers from one country to mentor younger teachers in institutions of another country. This initiative responds to educational reforms – for better quality teaching and learning, internationalization, and greater academic and cultural integration – and, through faculty exchanges, promotes the development of whole person education within the United Board network.
VLP focuses on Myanmar and the Philippines in its pilot phase. The program seeks qualified and experienced teachers who, because of the educational reform in the Philippines, can take release time from their university and spend a semester or full academic year teaching at a Christian college or university in Myanmar.
