United Board Visiting Lecturers Program

Secondary schools in the Philippines are transitioning from a three-year to a four-year course of study. That process creates a temporary surplus of college and university faculty – and an opportunity for experienced educators to share expertise across borders. The United Board Visiting Lecturers Program (VLP), a teacher mobility program, seeks to capitalize on this opportunity in its pilot phase. VLP provides support for qualified faculty members from the Philippines to serve as advocates for whole person education at Christian colleges and universities in Myanmar, where they can share their experience in curriculum development, service-learning, strengthening critical thinking, and related subjects. VLP will expand to other countries in subsequent phases.
