Rev. Dr. Heasun Kim is the director of Scranton Women’s Leadership Center in Seoul, Korea and is a staff member of International Ministries of United Methodist Women, the United Methodist Church, USA. Dr. Kim has been working for United Methodist Women since 1991, focusing on leadership development for Korean-American women and women of diverse backgrounds all over the United States. She also has led leadership training programs in many countries in Asia since 1993. She has been instrumental in bringing up ordinary women to become national leaders.

Dr. Kim holds a master of theology degree from the Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas) and a doctor of ministry degree in feminist theology from Episcopal Divinity School (Cambridge, Massachusetts). She was ordained in the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church in 1983.
