United Board Faculty Scholarship Program

Faculty Development.scholars at computerThrough the United Board Faculty Scholarship Program, promising young faculty from selected United Board network institutions in Asia pursue advanced degree study, taught in English in Australia or in an Asian country outside their own. Scholarships are designed as opportunities for faculty enrichment for developing colleges and universities in the United Board network in Asia, particularly those that need to upgrade their teaching faculty, have a plan for faculty development, and are committed to whole person education for their students.

Applicants must be full-time faculty of one of the designated colleges or universities in the United Board network in Asia, have at least 15 years of service remaining before the official retirement age at the home institution, and be committed to return to their home institution after completing their degree program. Preference will be given to candidates with at least 2-3 years of teaching experience and service at their home institutions. Selected candidates may receive scholarship awards of up to US$12,000 per year, for a maximum of four years’ support for doctoral studies and, for a few cases, up to two years for master’s programs, pending satisfactory progress.
