Integrated scholarship refers to the integration of research, teaching and service as a hallmark of whole person education. Competence in these three functions is expected of all educators since research is the scholarship of discovery, teaching is the scholarship of dissemination, and service is the scholarship of application.
The United Board promotes integrated scholarship to affirm that life is interdisciplinary. It can best happen when it addresses life issues and social problems as identified in the UN sustainable development goals.Â
In 2026-27, the Faculty Development Grants on Integrated Scholarship scheme will aim to address environmental sustainability.
