Dr. Phoebe H. Stevenson currently serves as Senior Advisor at the American Educational Research Association. She is Managing Principal of Stevenson & Rosenzweig, LLC specializing in international strategic consulting and program development for higher education institutions and nonprofit organizations.  In addition, she serves as an Executive Search Consultant for AGB Search, specializing in leadership searches for higher education institutions. From 2016–2022, she served as Senior Assistant Dean and Chief Business Officer for the School of Law at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to joining Emory, she was Associate Dean and Chief Operating Officer for the School of Education and Human Development at the George Washington University in Washington DC from 2012 to 2015.

In addition to her rich experience in academia, Dr. Stevenson had also held key leadership positions in a number of academic and research associations.  She was Deputy Executive Officer of the American Sociological Association (1994–2002) and Deputy Executive Director of the American Educational Research Association (2002–2012).

She holds an MBA from the American University and obtained her Doctorate in Education (Higher Education Management) from the University of Pennsylvania, where she has taught as an adjunct faculty and serves as Mentor for Doctoral Students and Alumni from the Executive Doctorate in Higher Education Management Program since 2010.
