Boyung Lee, a native of Korea, is Professor of Practical Theology at Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO, where she served as Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty from 2017 to 2022. When she assumed Iliff’s deanship, she became the first Korean American woman academic dean at the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada. Previously, she served as Associate Professor of Practical Theology at the Pacific School of Religion and Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA, from 2002 to 2017. She is also an ordained United Methodist clergy. Dr. Lee received a BA and a ThM from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, a Master of Divinity degree from Claremont School of Theology, and a PhD in Theology and Education from Boston College.  She is on boards and committees of multiple academic guilds in her fields, including the American Academy of Religion and Pacific, Asian, and North American Asian Women in Theology and Ministry (PANAAWTM), for which she serves as the board chair.
