United Board Heads of Institution Leadership Strategy Institute

The United Board Heads of Institution Leadership Strategy Institute was inaugurated in the summer of 2024 with a summit attended by university presidents, rectors and vice chancellors from 27 Asian universities in six countries (India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, India and the Philippines).
The summit fostered a strong sense of camaraderie, trust, and friendship. The collaborative spirit was exemplified by the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Payap University and the Myanmar Institute of Technology. Participants also signed a joint statement reaffirming their commitment to excellence and collaboration in advancing Christian higher education in Asia.

Following the in-person summit in July 2024 and subsequent online sessions throughout the calendar year, 21 leaders reported measurable progress on institutional initiatives by November 2024. These initiatives included the launch of interdisciplinary academic programs, steps toward greater financial transparency, and digital transformation projects aligned with long-term strategic goals. Despite challenges like resource limitations, institutions saw strengthened collaboration, increased leadership capacity, and enhanced institutional sustainability.
The next edition of the Institute will be offered in the summer of 2026.
