Now Hiring: Program Assistant (Chiang Mai, Thailand)

The United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia seeks a motivated Program Assistant to join its office in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This is a full-time fixed-term position established to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the United Board’s programs and grants across Asia. The Program Assistant will be based in the Chiang Mai office and report directly to the Program Manager in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support for the planning, implementation, and management of United Board programs and grants.
  • Support program teams in Chiang Mai, Chennai, and Hong Kong in preparing program announcements, correspondence, promotional materials, and other program-related communications, including basic graphic and poster design.
  • Coordinate program logistics, including travel arrangements, accommodations, meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Compile, maintain, and analyze program statistics, databases, calendars and records, and assist in preparing reports, presentations and evaluations.
  • Provide administrative, logistical and clerical support for both virtual and in-person programs and activities.
  • Coordinate with the Communications Team to produce and manage photographs, videos, and other digital content for program documentation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support grant administration by maintaining accurate records, tracking deadlines and reports, and monitoring program activities.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant professional experience in program administration, project coordination, grants management, or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, Adobe applications, Canva, Zoom, and other digital collaboration and content creation tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools and the ability to leverage technology effectively to support program operations, communications, and reporting are desirable.
  • Experience in coordinating workshops, conferences, training programs, or other events is desirable.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SurveyMonkey Apply, or similar database, application management, and reporting systems would be an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a multicultural and international environment.
  • Strong cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and partners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake occasional domestic and international travel.

Compensation and Application Process

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
