This webishop introduced expressive writing as a “self-reflective tool” to explore “emotional upheavals” in one’s life. In looking inward we examine who we are.
Studies have shown that personal exploration yields mental and physical benefits to help us cope with life traumas and challenges, hence, aid in our emotional healing. Expressive writing has significant therapeutic value for educators’ personal and professional development.
Using simple writing prompts, the webishop encouraged participants to express their thoughts and feelings about recent events. It also introduced other freewriting methods, e.g., journaling, letter writing, narrative essay.
